Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or playing GuessTheNumber ("the Service"), operated and sponsored by PrivacyTestLab, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

GuessTheNumber is a free, browser-based daily number-guessing game with a public leaderboard. No purchase, account, or payment is required to play.

3. Eligibility

The Service is intended for general audiences. If you are under the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, please use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to submit guesses or manipulate your score or leaderboard position.
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, probe, or exploit the guess-scoring system to determine the secret number outside of normal gameplay.
• Register usernames that are offensive, impersonate others, or infringe on third-party trademarks.
• Interfere with the normal operation of the Service or attempt to access it through unauthorized means.

We reserve the right to remove leaderboard entries or restrict access for accounts found to violate these terms.

5. Leaderboard and scoring

Leaderboard rankings and scores are calculated automatically based on the scoring rules described on the How to Play page and are provided for entertainment purposes. We reserve the right to correct, reset, or remove leaderboard data affected by technical errors or abuse.

6. Support contributions

GuessTheNumber may offer an optional Support page allowing visitors to voluntarily contribute to the site's upkeep. Contributions are voluntary, non-refundable, and do not entitle the contributor to any in-game advantage, equity, or ownership interest. Payments are processed by third-party providers under their own terms.

7. Intellectual property

The GuessTheNumber name, design, and underlying code are the property of PrivacyTestLab unless otherwise noted. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative versions of the Service without permission.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PrivacyTestLab and GuessTheNumber shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
